2k (2000) Generation, children and young people between 7 and 18 years of age, comprises a market segment that it is not always prioritized. This is mostly because these young consumers have no economic capacity, and the purchase decision depends always on their parents. Nevertheless, present day children are much closer to new technologies than before, mainly thanks widespread access to Internet, videos games and movies.

MBI Marco México presented a Research Paper in order to “determine the knowledge children have about Computers, Internet, Comics and the Intel brand”. The study, carried out with a quantitative approach, consisted in a ten- question survey plus 2 images presented 200 children (between 8 and 12 years of age) from both public and private Primary Schools.

“My PC” Program Argentina.

Financing: the most attractive of the initiative My PC plan was launched by the Minister of Economy and Production of Argentina, in April 2005, “to reduce the technology gap that exists between Argentina and the rest of the world". Through this program, sectors with smaller resources (people whose average basic salary equals 700 pesos monthly or even 450 pesos for pensioners and retired) will be able to buy a last generation Desktop Computer between 1,300 and 1,700 Argentinean pesos. Payment can be done in cash or financed in up to 40 months thanks to special credit lines offered by the public bank.

A month after the project was announced, from MBI Marco Argentina, conducted a research study in order to "know what people think about the program and its main characteristics". The study, done with a quantitative approach, consisted in a survey conducted to 100 persons that were found walking in the street and near to the points of sale of the program.
